Position Summary

Team & Location: Commercial Fuels – Dawson Creek, BC

Opportunity Profile:

Reporting to the Deliveries Supervisor, this position is responsible for a wide variety of tasks including providing customer service, taking orders, scheduling bulk deliveries, assisting drivers with directions, and proving logistics support with regards to deliveries through the geographic area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative duties including order taking, inputting orders into the system and analyzing data
  • Build positive, collaborative relationships with all points of contact including customers, drivers, fellow team members and the management team
  • Primary point of contact for drivers
  • Support Deliveries Supervisor with leading safe work practices and safety culture
  • Improve delivery efficiencies for the branch
  • Support branch with scheduling preventive maintenance of fleet

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong computer skills in Excel and Outlook are required. Experience in Infosys and JDE are an asset
  • Strong communication skills over the phone and through email
  • Previous logistics experience with working knowledge of immediate and surrounding areas is an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven leadership ability while maintaining a pleasant and friendly manner as necessary
  • Excellent customer service skills both internal and external
  • Solid working knowledge of the propane industry is an asset
  • Strong computer skills in Excel and Outlook are required. Experience in Infosys and JDE are an asset
  • Previous experience with computer based dispatch systems an asset
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Experience with enhancing utilization of available resources, including trucks, drivers, and support services
  • Experience adhering to regulatory and safety requirements IE commercial drivers hours of service
  • Must have a class 5 license. Class 1 or 3 license is an asset.
